Go to the dictionary and look up the word "HYPE" that is exactly what all these TV reporters and news group is doing.... To hype up xbox360.

I know I set myself up for .. discussion by my statement.

Any new console has issues with new games, it takes time for developers to get really good at making games. Some of the best games for console's come at the tail end of there life. PS3 is going to be in the same boat.

As time goes on and developers can start tapping in to the raw power of the new console's then the really great (graphics at least) games are going to come out.

I don't think Xbox360 is going to crush PS3 or PS3 wipe Xbox360 of the face of the planet. I see PS3 maintaining the lead overall with Xbox360 eating away at it's marketing share. Depending on this "round" will give a clue (guess at best) at the next PS (4th revsion) vs Xbox (3rd revision) war.

I also expect Xbox360 to drop the dvd drive and pick up HD-DVD down the road.

If MS boasting / defending there altered roll out to retailers method works like the plan, it should be a few weeks for the next wave shipment too.

Real reasons (fanboy aside) I like PS (any) over Xbox (any)

I have over 200 PS1 & Ps2 games and the way backwords compatibility works
Xbox is lacking the anime rpg's / adventure games overall
I'm not in to FPS's on console's via control - just know you can do keyboard + mouse
MS is the 1st one to offer "patching games" Halo >< which will bring down quality of console games with patch later approach
Sony online dial-up/broadband (let charge or be free) vs MS flat montly fee broad band only

Xbox360 launch people are going to HATE the HD-DVD latter aproach, at the same time, PS3 will have some hardware "bug" that will get fixed in later versions. Histroy is just repeating itself over again. Nintendo Vs Sega, Nintendo Vs Sega Vs Sony, Sony Vs Nintendo, Sony Vs Microsoft Vs Nintendo.

i only use consoles for the rare times i feel like playing tekken or soul caliber 2 end of story those are the only good games there..... besides as was mentioned above.... the original halo..........

My friend is an idiot for not selling his. I told him sell it for 400% profit and the man refuses. For Gods sakes the man is playing GUN on the 360. The other night he got off PDZ to play halo 2! Seriously if I had an XBOX 360 it would have been Ebayed long ago...

okay, enough spamming.

from what i've heard, the Xbox 360's launch titles were not all that great at all. PDZ was not the replacement Halo that i guess they hoped it would be. any other release titles were mediocre at worst, but nothing good enough to catch someone's eye. just ordinary racers, platformers and such. once Halo 3 is released, i'm guessing that this will seem like nothing compared to the riot that we're gonna see.

A reason not to hate? Dude - we don't like the CrapBox because WE DON'T LIKE THE CRAPBOX. Nothing is going to change a person's opinion on it, and it doesn't NEED to be changed. And specs? Those are laughable. My PC back in 1998 had better specs than that.

I did - a million times. I'm not impressed: A computer can double that and get 60 frames instead of a wimpy 30, AND will do it on a high resolution without jaggies.

First, u watched it a million times? Whys that if you hate it so much. Second, true a computer can do better but not an average computer that normal people (so and so gamers, 1-2 hours per day) have.

Because it's on he news 24/7 and I see the adds everywhere. It's quite annoying. And you can get a PC that'll run a game that well for the amount of money you'd spend buying a console with accessories and other junk that would equal up to what a computer can do.
